The solemn and final rejection by the Aegean Multi-Member Court of Appeal of all ONEX claims against the Environmental Quality Observatory of Syros and its two defendant members is not news, not even for the fine print, of the local media (except one).
The fact that should be news on syrostoday, cyclades24, cycladeslive, logotypos, koinignomi, etc. (*): A company supported by the Greek Government, the American Embassy, the Municipality and the South Aegean Region, which cooperates with Korean, Israeli and Italian shipyards, which wants to build warships (this ‘Themistocles’ project what happened?), which establishes and advertises innovation centres in cooperation with CISCO and the Region, which acquires the Elefsina shipyards while aspiring to overshadow the activities of the Chinese in the port of Piraeus, etc., filed lawsuits demanding EUR 3 000 000 from a local environmental association and received in the final judgement EUR 0€ – literally ‘zero euros’ (actually they have to pay us EUR 4 000 for our legal costs). Well, you don’t call that important news… for the local media’s agenda.
It is certain that the concealment of the fact has nothing to do with sponsorships. It has to do with the insignificance of the news. At least, this time, the local media remained silent and did not dare to speak of a “catapult” decision against the Observatory as they had done for the Court of First Instance decision… This is also an improvement in the quality of information they offer.
Dear local media, continue to offer your services. You’re writing a journalistic history. Just think about where the cloud of sandblasting is heading in the photo that accompanied our announcement that you concealed. You may feel a little remorse …
(*): Just one local online media outlet considered the appeals court’s judgement to be news and published our announcement: syrospress.grhttps://syrospress.gr/trimeles-efeteio-syrou-dikaiosi-tou-paratiritiriou-apenanti-stis-agoges-tis-onech/
